"here"と "there"の話

今日の教えて　：　「沖縄へ行く」は、"go to Okinawa"というように、沖縄の前に、前置詞"to"が必要だが、「そこへ行く」は、"go there"で、"to"は不要だ。理由は、"there"は、「そこへ」という意味だから、"to there"と言うと、「そこへへ」ということになってしまうのだ。

"here"も同様に、「ここへ」という意味だから、「ここに来い」は、"Come here"でよい。

"here" も "there"も、まれに名詞として使われることがある。
　　　from there　　　　　　　そこから
　　　Get out of here!　　　ここから出て行け　（口語：冗談言うなよ）
　　　Stay in here　　　　　この中に居なさい （Stay here だと、ここに居なさい）

Example :

「上京されて、もうどれくらいになりますか？」
　　How long have you been here since you came to Tokyo?

「大阪で生まれた女やさかい、大阪の街よう捨てん♪♪BORO大阪で生まれた女より」
　　'Cause I'm a woman who was born in Osaka, it's really hard to get our of here.

「振り返るとそこは、灰色の街♪♪BORO大阪で生まれた女より」
　　When I just look back, there's a dusty town.

「日比谷公園じゃ昼休み時間に、若いOLがあちこちで弁当広げてるよ。」
　　Young female office workers are eating lunch here and there in Hibiya Park during lunch time.

「おっと、停電だ。ろうそく探してくるから、ここに（この部屋の中に）居なさい。」
　　Oh-oh, blackout. I'll go for candles, so please stay in here.
